Quote 12 I've been feeling really inspired by the native plants and trees of the city as well as the incredibly awesome thunderstorms that keep it all lush.  Definitely a nice reminder of nature's dance and her way of keeping things in balance. Let's dance it out, shall we?

Quote 10 This one goes out to my beautiful family who has always shown me that it's never too early or too late to try something new. We're each going through our own unique "re-births", if you will, and I'm so proud to watch them go for new experiments and incredibly thankful for the support they send back my way.

If you're currently experimenting with any new ideas, ventures, or just toying with the possibilities, keep at it because honestly - who ever really knows what they're doing? It's all trial and error so you might as well push through until something clicks.

quote 5 My parents recently moved back to Colombia - their native country- where they're setting their roots down after decades of being away. They were the first from their families to fly the coop when they were eighteen and nineteen years old, opting for new adventures that would eventually create our own beautiful family. Their spirits, bravery, and yes, craziness, have been the biggest inspirations in my life. They were the first to tell me to follow my heart and move halfway across the world with Joe - "go, have an adventure" they said "it's what life is all about". They are always so right.

Joe and I are now pending final word on something that could bring an entirely new world our way. We're ready to take it and go for a ride...fingers crossed!

"every age..."

I'm guilty of having an old soul but I don't let my nostalgic tendencies get in the way of being present and charging ahead. I purposefully posted this quote on my birthday to remind myself that every age and new year brings its own set of opportunities and delight. That being said, this one goes out to all of my fellow Pisces and zodiac brothas and sistas alike. However old or young you may be in 2012, enjoy, have fun, and take this year by the reins!

When you're not busy dodging motorcycles and donkeys there are plenty of design details to catch your attention in Marrakech's Medina. I was fascinated by the intricate carvings on both wood and stone, the pretty pastels of the buildings, the bright bold colors in the souks, and the rough and smooth texture pairings on the walls. I peeked into a few craftsman workshops near our riad to see how they use stencils to carve the repeating designs - what a work of art!

Any design details or colors catch your eye?
